Decorative vanities and cabinets are best for small spaces

Small spaces are one the biggest struggles in the field of interior design – but they are also one of the most exciting challenges. Working with a small space is one of my favorite design challenges because it cancels out all the tried and tested options and you are forced to resort to more creative alternatives. A bathroom is doubly bigger challenge since there are really non-negotiable fixtures in there, and you have no option but to compromise space. Bathtubs are quite large by definition, and a shower stall can be as well, especially with shower enclosures.

You may also think that bathroom vanities and cabinets are out of the question if you have a small bathroom space, but you actually just need a little ingenuity (which you develop over time the more you are in difficult situations) to make a storage system in your bathroom work. Don’t get me wrong, I like spontaneity. Especially with matters regarding the heart, being surprised in the good way is always pleasant. However, it’s not really that good if the surprise is on the face of your date when you take him back to your place and he sees how cluttered everything is. You’d be more likely to scare him off than to leave a good impression of how lady-like you are in comparison to how tidy your place is.

You girls know what I’m talking about, especially with regard to the bathroom. While other people might like keeping their rooms tidy or their kitchens in order, the bathroom is the most sacred part of a woman’s home. You know I never thought that there can be a potent mix of smart and sexy in this entire planet, until I looked at myself in the mirror. Lol.
